The LM723 is a precision voltage regulator IC designed as a monolithic integrated programmable voltage regulator. This versatile IC can be used in both positive and negative voltage regulation applications. With the capability of providing up to 150 mA of current to the load, the LM723 can support higher currents (up to 10A) with the use of external power transistors, making it suitable for a wide range of power supply applications.
The LM723 features low standby current drain, adjustable current limiting, and remote shutdown functionality. This makes it ideal for use in temperature control, current regulation, or as a shunt regulator. Designed with high precision, the LM723 offers excellent input and load regulation, high ripple rejection, and outstanding temperature stability.
The IC is housed in a 14-lead dual-in-line plastic package or a metal case package, making it suitable for a variety of mounting applications. The IC operates over a wide temperature range from −55°C to +125°C.
