The Laser Fence Security System is an educational STEM project that demonstrates the working principle of a laser-based intrusion detection system. The project uses a laser diode aimed at a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR). Under normal conditions, the laser beam continuously falls on the LDR. When an object interrupts the laser beam, the change in light intensity is detected by the electronic circuit, activating a buzzer to indicate an intrusion.
This project introduces students to concepts such as photoresistors, transistor switching, laser optics, voltage regulation, alarm circuits, and basic electronic prototyping. It is ideal for science exhibitions, STEM education, electronics learning, and beginner DIY projects.
